  • Application - The application will open on January 14th and close on January 28th at 11:59 PM. 

Application Process

  1. Attend at least one Hooked on AED event.

    • Attend at least one Hooked on AED event for your application to be considered. These events will be held from January 24th - January 28th and will consist of virtual info sessions and in-person social events. Because you cannot apply without attending one of our Hooked on AED events, please do not submit your application anytime before our first info session on Monday, January 24th. Any applications submitted before then will not be considered

  2. Complete the online application.

    • Once the application has been released on January 14th, 2022, a link to the application will be attached above. The application will consist of general background questions and several short answer prompts. Complete the application by January 28th, 2022 at 11:59 PM.

    • Once the applications have been read, interview slots will be sent out by email.

  3. The second round of applying is an interview .

    • Conduct a 15 minute interview with two AED Officers. Interview time slots will be sent out by email, and will be first come first serve. 

    • Once all interviews are complete, final acceptances will be released via e-mail.

Spring 2022 Pledge Requirements

These point and meeting attendance requirements must be met by the end of spring semester in order to be inducted as an Active member. 

  • 20 Social points​​

  • 12 Pre-Health points

  • 16 Volunteer points

  • Attend 3 out of the 5 general meetings during the spring semester

    • Usually on every other Tuesday at 6:00PM 

  • Attend 4 out of the 5 pledge meetings during the spring semester

    • Usually on every other Tuesday at 6:00PM

​​Points are earned by participating in various events organized throughout the semester. The point requirements will be entirely achievable through virtual events; we don't want physical distance this semester to prevent you from participating in AED!

  1.  Is AED in-person this semester?

    • We will proceed to carry out this semester in-person unless circumstances change under the university's announcements.

  2. Do I need to be a STEM major in order to join?

    • No, all majors with a pre-health track are welcome to apply.

  3. Is AED only for pre-med students?

    • Once again, no! That's what sets us apart from most health-related organizations. We are open for all types of pre-health track students to join whether it's pre-PA, nursing, pre-dental, or etc. We pride ourselves on having a diverse body of pre-health interests and offering resources that are beneficial across most fields.
